"The air operations command and control system (SCCOA) is used to carry out airspace surveillance and control missions, ground-air defense coordination, and the preparation and conduct of air operations on national territory and on external operations.
Context
As part of the "Détection 22" phase of the SCCOA program for the French armed forces, won by Thalès, the SIT Group -Système Ingénierie Télécom et Réseaux- called on our experience in designing customized air-conditioning systems. The aim is to control the temperature and humidity of the interior of the shelter, to ensure the longevity of the hardware and the comfort of the operator.
arrow_right Our mission: To design air-conditioning cabinets adapted to the needs of SCCOA shelters, in order to control their interior environment. The aim was to ensure the longevity of computer equipment and operator comfort. This project, carried out to a very tight deadline, met particularly stringent requirements.

- Technical constraints: Outdoor monobloc air-conditioning solution, limited weight and dimensions, low noise level.
- Product life and durability: Solution meeting F-GAZ requirements, with the use of a new R454C refrigerant with a GWP < 150 and a replacement part commitment for a minimum of 20 years.
- Operational urgency: A tight schedule to enable rapid commissioning of the first pilot site.

- High-performancemonoblocks: Each shelter is equipped with 4 machines delivering 10 kW of cooling power, ensuring precise temperature maintenance at 25°C and humidity control.
- Optimized control: A centralized PLC manages the entire system, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.
- Custom-built: The machines were designed and assembled specifically for this project, taking into account shelter space constraints and customer requirements.
