The answer to Orano's nuclear requirements: seismic constraints and climatic robustness.

In the nuclear industry, the ability of air and fluid handling equipment to withstand extreme situations is essential for process safety.

One of the strongest constraints is the capacity of the equipment to be functional during and after an earthquake.

The ORANO Melox nuclear waste reprocessing site has a new crisis management building that can withstand extreme events. It will integrate our HVAC systems, allowing it to operate in complete autonomy.

These systems include, among others, a chilled water production unit with optimized electrical performance, a backup air conditioning cabinet with direct expansion operation and qualified rebreathers with their servo motors.

These solutions had to withstand 6 seismic tests that could reach accelerations of 3G on several axes. In the end, a dozen tests were successfully carried out. Cap2i met requirements that were higher than those requested by the project management team Bouygues Construction Services Nucléaires and ORANO.

Mr. Riffaud, head of the business unit at SOPEMEA, congratulated the professionalism of our teams on the implementation and follow-up of the tests on their site.

Cap2i is proud of the work accomplished, providing solutions that exceed the required performance.
